About
Why do you enjoy working at RRCC
In 2015 I became a Nurse Practitioner so that I could involve myself in community medicine and increase access for patients. I love my job.
What should people know about RRCC?
Thanks to our FQHC status, we are now able to offer our staff competitive wages, ensuring they remain with RRCC and continue to invest in our mission. Continuity of care is critical in reducing patient stress and improving health outcomes, making it essential to have a dedicated and committed team. Our staff is united in providing consistent healthcare and advocacy, fostering lasting impacts for years to come. I am proud to contribute to this vital effort.
How will the FQHC status impact your patients?
Achieving FQHC status means our clinic will now receive federal funding to provide healthcare in underserved and rural areas—a critical milestone for our mission. Previously, RRCC clinics relied solely on community donations, resulting in inconsistent and often insufficient funding. This limited our ability to offer competitive salaries to paid staff, and we depended heavily on volunteers to keep the clinic running. With this new support, we can ensure a more stable and sustainable future for our clinic and the communities we serve.
